  • Use a good skin barrier that makes a film between baby’s skin and the diaper. Simple home items include petroleum jelly, coconut oil and in case of aggravated rash use diaper rash cream with zinc oxide or antibacterial creams. Sometime even mild steroids are prescribed for chronic diaper rash.

During teething babies put everything in their mouth, increasing the chances of stomach infection. That’s one reason teething is babies is associated with upset stomach and subsequent diaper rash. To sooth teething discomfort few cool teethers can be used.

Incase the baby continues to show signs of discomfort or is unable to pass urine then seek immediate medical attention.
